The Robin Hood – Cross Street, Brighton
This is one of those pubs you’d only find if you were on a little bit of an exploration of the area, it’s a case of being hidden in plain view; being fifty metres away from the main road.
Inside
Is not massive, but pleasant enough providing that it’s not too busy. This pub has a red theme throughout, with wooden tables and chairs and comfy velour seating at the rear of the pub. Free WiFi internet access is provided. A broad range of music is played at a reasonable volume (I sound really old saying that).
Toilets were reasonable, soap and hot water all functioning when my lease on the beer was expired.
Drinks
There was a good selection of beers on tap (including hoegaarden) and the wine was acceptable too. Prices don’t deviate too much from the Brighton median.
Atmosphere
A nice friendly kind of boozer, rather than a trendy soulless place. Service was quick and the bar staff are friendly. There has always been a good mix of people, young and old, there whenever I’ve visited.
Food
They serve excellent pizzas here for £4.95 - well worth it in my opinion.
