The Globe - Middle Street, Brighton

Just a stones-throw (or a rock, if it’s Saturday night :-)) from West street is this delightful pub, let’s find out more. . .

The Globe - Middle Street, Brighton

The Globe is located on Middle street, there are a number of drinking establishments around here, but this one is a little special.

Inside
You find a nicely finished décor, a good range of beers and friendly service. Our pints/wine were served quickly, were nicely chilled and the prices were reasonable too.

It was quite busy upon our arrival, no seats being available. But fortunately this pub has a basement area, kitted out with tables and some bench seats (not that comfortable, but OK) so we managed to escape the dreaded ’standing in the pub’ scenario.

The other ‘problem’ with the basement is that most mobiles wont work (especially 3g ones - they use a higher frequency, which is more susceptible to attenuation, but enough of the geek talk) now, a few years ago this wouldn’t have mattered, but nowadays we all run our lives through our mobiles and being out of contact may not be an option for you.

There was a good mix of people, with no ‘trendy wankers’ when we visited. The lavs we’re fine too.

In conclusion, the globe is well worth a visit; it might be just the thing for you.
