The Temple Bar - Western Road, Brighton

This bar is situated five minutes from the city centre, but then Brighton is not that big a city!

The Temple Bar - Western Road, Brighton

Inside
You’ll find a pleasant enough watering hole - with a good range of drinks, including; Stella, Becks and the always popular Leffe. There are a number of white/red wines (for the ladies :-) ) The Chardonnay is particularly good (better than the pinot) The prices are about average for Brighton.

The service was very friendly, drinks being served in double-quick time with a nice bit of banter to accompany the drinks. (you just can’t beat talking a bit of ‘toot’ with the bar staff)

The layout is U-shaped with toilets at end of each of the U’s legs - There is also a pool table and big screen TV’s - on which sports are shown, so the usual caveat^ applies. There are a number of tables and chairs, with some comfy plush velour bench seats at one side of the bar.

^May get really busy during popular matches

The toilets are reasonable, not great and a little cold due to the broken window during one of my visits.

The Temple Bar is worth a visit if you’re in this neck of the woods and feel the need for some refreshment. Try the Leffe ;)
